As part of our commitment to safety, we recently hosted Custer County first responders for an Emergency Preparedness Meeting. During the meeting, we looked over site maps, toured facility changes, and talked through emergency response plans.
We are grateful for the opportunity to speak with our local first responders, and we thank them for working to keep us safe each day!

This summer, we experienced two major storms that impacted our operations. In both situations, our employees truly stepped up, going above and beyond their normal roles to make sure our cattle were fed and our operations continued without interruption.
To show our gratitude for their hard work, teamwork, and dedication, we hosted a company-wide BBQ to recognize everyone who played a part.

Earlier this summer, several of our Cattle Operations Interns joined our Backgrounding Coordinator, Brad Miller, and Consulting Veterinarian, Dr. Rice, on a visit to our backgrounding locations in eastern Nebraska and Iowa!
Layne, Reagan, and Mallory had the opportunity to speak with backgrounders, see their operations, and get a better understanding of how we work with our backgrounding network.

Since we began in 1945, the Adams family and Adams Land & Cattle have believed there’s always a better way. Last week, we took the next step and broke ground on a Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) facility on our south lot.
Together with Neogenyx Fuels and Ameresco, we’re turning cattle manure into renewable natural gas - creating energy, capturing valuable nutrients for local agriculture, and investing in the future of Broken Bow and Custer County.
Using anaerobic digestion, this RNG facility will generate 1.2 million MMBtu of RNG annually, enough renewable fuel to replace more than 10.5 million gallons of diesel each year and displace the CO2 emissions from more than 5.9 million gallons of diesel consumption. And the impact reaches beyond sustainability. The construction will create dozens of jobs, with 10-15 full-time positions at the facility.
Our mission has always been to produce safe, sustainable, high-quality beef for a hungry world by weaving together technology, innovation, and the best production standards in the industry. This partnership lives that mission. It advances our commitment to sustainability, honors our responsibility to the land, and it moves us closer to our vision of building a business for generations to come.
