The 6th Annual Have a Heart Food Bank Challenge will be held February 11th-22nd and Adams Land and Cattle is once again challenging local businesses and organizations around Custer County to make a difference for our local Food Banks and Backpack Programs. The Challenge is open to area businesses, schools, and civic organizations and will provide donated food and other needed items to four local Food Pantries.
These local Food Pantries are a vital asset to the community, assisting and feeding many local citizens. Area organizations are encouraged to participate by donating items and competing against other organizations for the title of “Heart of Custer County Winners”.
“We’re really proud and excited to continue the Have a Heart Food Bank Challenge, which was originally started by Leadership Custer County,” said Jennifer Gestwite, Executive Assistant at ALCC. “Last year, over 17 local businesses, schools and civic groups participated and collected over 4,200 items that were split between the four local Food Banks. With the help of the community, we are striving to exceed those number this year,” Gestwite said.
